From Home to Home
It is with great sadness that I put on long cycling pants today. It's a bit nippy. Whereas the lake has looked like the Mediterranean with the sun beating down on it now it looks more like the North Sea or at least the home of the Kraken. Bbbrrrrrr I want to shout out to all of the cyclists out there who are supporting this great cause. Kudos to you. I have read that some drivers have been annoyed by cyclists on the road. I too have experienced a few interesting hand signals that are not ASL. I have had vehicles and trailers that have been a tad too close. Let's share the road and share the love. We are doing this because we care and want to make a difference. Make space for cyclists everybody and make space in your heart for this great cause. Be part of this. This cause is making a difference 💕💕Donate to me or anybody cycling for these children. We got this.
I just raised $1,000 to fight kids' cancer and achieved WARRIOR LEVEL in the challenge! Thank you so much for your support.
The corn is now as high as the proverbial elephants eye. The heat has dropped from incineration to frying and I am counting blessings. Blessings that despite my biblical age I can still cycle and support a great cause. Blessings for my Grand children. Blessings for my partner who puts up with me and quells the urge to suffocate me in my sleep. Blessings for my daughter who managed to inherit my good bits. Some folks are probably struggling to find that silver lining, to find any blessing. Through this cause we have a chance to support by donating and showing that we care. We got this. You got this. Let's do this.
Slowly but surely goes the cycling. Despite the air quality and heat the rides are really interesting. The fruit is hanging from the trees or stocking the road side stalls. Peaches and sweetcorn by the plenty. Lots of hawks up on the ridge today it did occur to me that they were circling me. Hmmmm must keep my eye on that.
