Completed .. today is Sept 6 and reflecting

Aug 31st 2024 came and ended The Great Cycle Challenge. 466.6 km ridden. I’ll be honest - my knees did feel it. $1,839 was raised and I cannot thank my friends and family enough for their generous donations given for Toronto Sick Kids! 🥰❤️❤️❤️🥰

Over 79,006 sponsors across Canada donated. 31 riders each raised over $10,000!

One cancer survivor Jarrod had cycled for this cause 9 x’s. This yr he raised $35,372!!Wow! Many have a story regarding cancer and those they lost. Even 32 kids under 5 yrs old rode 🥰

Again Thankyou Thankyou and I’m thankful God kept me and my team safe on the roads.

Wow 🤩 Amazing Supporters ❤️

All of my supporters on yesterday’s matching day were FANTASTIC !!! Over $600 was raised for Sick Kids 🤗🤗. I am so very thankful for your donations - today there is $1,726 towards my Elijah’s Warriors Team. We are close to the goal of $5000. Until Aug 31/24 we continue to ride and fundraise. Another few km’s in the books

Checked the weather … no rain noted. Ok that’s good. After doing a warmup ride to help Kathy… proteined up and rode to Port Colborne. Wind felt stronger the closer I rode to PC . Bridge up - went on the Friendship Trail. On the way home noticed a dark cloud in the west ..passed Ontario st along the canal path and got caught in the rain - not fair. Tired this evening after a total of 58 km’s

Cycling when you can 2024

After getting up at 0545 - a yoga for tired legs then off to watch my beautiful granddaughters. Once done, a drive to Stoney Creek with bike in the trunk (oops bike lights at home charging). The clouds rolled in and the temp dropped a bit, making it great for the 41 km bike ride up to Burloak Waterfront park. Thankful for new paved roads

Riding August 2024

This year it’s a little harder in Niagara Ontario to get motivated and ride as the humidity levels are higher and some days the rain interferes. But remembering why I’m cycling.. gets me on my bike 🚴‍♂️… friendly honk your horn when you see those bike shirts - orange blue white
