It was cool and windy today on Amherst Island and the wind turbines were spinning and generating electricity as a result. The ride was difficult because of the wind but I persevered and completed my 100 km goal today!
Thanks very much again to my dear friends and family who donated this year! Your generous donations were super motivating for me and we can all feel proud that we are aiding the research and development of treatments for childhood cancer.
This morning was warm with cloudless skies on Amherst Island where I did my third ride today (21.5 km). If you’ve never been over to Amherst Island, I highly recommend a visit. Its a great place to come cycling, birdwatching, or go for a swim at one of its two uncrowded sand beaches during the summer months.
I’m fortunate that this is my ancestral home so I have cousins I can visit too. Its accessible by ferry and very pretty year round.
Thanks very much to those who donated to my cycle ride on “Kick Cancer’s Butt” day (Today) in which all donations that were made were doubled!
Im very pleased that I’ve exceeded my fundraising goal this year due to the generosity of my dear friends and family! Thank you again!
I just raised $1,000 to fight kids' cancer and achieved WARRIOR LEVEL in the challenge! Thank you so much for your support.
FINALLY! I was able to get in my first 20km ride today on Amherst Island. Weather has been sucky, and I injured my back on the weekend, but I’m determined to reach my goal this month! Was calm most of the morning, then it showered and got windy near the end of my ride. Thank you to all my friends who have sponsored me so far. It really motivates me on this cause!
I just raised $500 to fight kids' cancer and achieved GUARDIAN LEVEL in the challenge! Thank you so much for your support.
