The past few days at the cottage have been full of great rides and laughs. First, we biked to the dam, then twice out to Forfar Park past Fergus. Miles has been amazing with the daily cycling — I’m proud of his energy and determination.
We’ve noticed fewer trucks along the highway (so fewer honks, though still a couple!). And today brought a funny moment in Belwood: as we listened to the Jays game, Miles shouted back to me “How ya doin’?” — only for a man on a side road to think it was for him. He cheerfully replied, “Doing well thanks — and you??” 😂
So far, we’ve logged 143 km and raised $1,176. Proud of Miles, grateful for the support, and excited to keep pedaling toward the finish line. Please share our mission with others!
Today was definitely better! We also counted 14 small dogs along the way and many many e-bikes (cheaters) and small children to dodge left and right.
The best part was nearing the end having a quick visit with a friend (which obviously included ice cream for the kiddo again).
The coming days are going to include some longer rides at the cottage - which will be tough - but also a great test of our endurance and reflection of the tough days many families face when navigating childhood cancer.
Praying for clear weather and continued grace n the trails!

Here we go!! Capped off with a necessary vanilla cone before arriving home. The kid was beat - but hoping that tomorrow is an improvement. :)
Final hours to participate in match day! Any help is appreciated. We are about $400 short of our goal
I just raised $1,000 to fight kids' cancer and achieved WARRIOR LEVEL in the challenge! Thank you so much for your support.
