183km out of 500 so far, most of them ridden this week during our camping vacation in Northern Ontario. I’m grateful to my wife Betty, for giving me so much time to focus on this challenge. Yesterday, I set off to visit my friend Chris, who was recently hospitalized in St Thomas because of edema and other concerns.
The ride was… …interesting, thanks to numerous road closures and other roadwork. My faithful Gazelle served me well, even though it’s not really designed or equipped as a gravel bike.
Still, it was great to catch up with Chris, and clock my first 48km towards this year’s Great Cycle Challenge!
