Last day of August and I have 45 km to go. Easy peasy. Yeah right when you wake up coughing. Then my hubby says, let's go for a ride. And pick blackberries. Km go by faster when there are two. The first stop, not great berries but the second spot, great. But all that hard work meant we were hungry. So brunch. Ok only 15km in but life is good. Then on a full stomach we try to get 30 km. If you see our route, we were really trying to get the km in. Almost forgot to get a picture! Stopped in front of my old school just at the end. I did it!! Thanks to you all for your support.
I had a great plan for this week and then Kaboom! Summer cold hit me. Wow, was I knocked off my feet! Just recovering now with only two days left this month to get to my goal. Today I got to work at a snails pace but at least I got on my bike. Tomorrow is definitely a cycling day to get my last 50 km in. Fingers crossed it goes well.
Ok, I am having a hard time writing this one. Since 2017, the last weekend in August has been the Ride to Conquer Cancer. This is the first year, I am not actively taking part. Sure during Covid the Ride changed but I still was active in some fashion. Not this year. It was a hard decision but I needed the rest. I still get all the updates on Facebook about this weekend. Even in the rain, it is a great event. Such great memories. Thanks to all my supporters. I feel so privileged and blessed. Thank you.
