Added the extra 2 km on just to be sure. Those 2 were done on level 5, they went way faster than the previous 6. Total time for this last ride was 1hr 46min, and it turned the stride counter over!
Thank you all for the encouragement and for believing in the cause, Dad and myself. If you feel up to it, please join us next year on the ride. Our team is called "The Westside" and we're always looking for new members.
All the best ❤️jen
So apparently 6ish km is the sweet spot for an outdoor ride. Had to take it easier on the tension today, so 2 recumbent rides.
Almost there...
Got back too late for outdoors, so recumbent it is!
Top number is strides, bottom is km.
K at top denotes km unit. It's a good little compact. Best home workout piece I ever purchased! It's hard to see the decimal in the 6.00 but it's there. It took 1hr and 21 min on level 4.
Oops, the top number you can't see 9379 "strd"
So...apparently, when in middle gear on the front sprocket and alternating between 3 and 4 on the back, I'm cycling with a running cadence?!!!
It's starting to get pretty windy out there. Stay safe, everyone!
Lots of smaller rides today.
From Brock Auto, then to Brock Auto. Those folks ROCK by the way!!!
Then, an evening ride once around Mac Island. Smaller rides seem to be the key, but it's slow going in low gears!!
Thank you again, everyone, for donating to this amazing cause.
Apologies for the slow going this year. It was amazing to get off the recumbent and ride outdoors, but unfortunately, I got a little too excited and didn't gear down, causing my achilies and knees to flare up again. I will finish in time this year, but I'll have to be smarter about it. I will try doing two smaller rides in a day and get those km's knocked out.
Have fun and stay safe!!
Got the other chidlet up and out by 10 am today. Beauty Day!! Only 21°C when we left.
Couldn't get Strava to connect here, but I'll try to load the map.
