Hello friends - what a ride! This challenge, put to me by Peter Malone and committed to on a whim, really took on a life of its own. I was inspired by all of your generosity and encouragement not only toward my kilometres but more importantly towards the lofty donation target that I set.
I’m very proud of myself and even more thankful for all of you lovely friends and supporters.
Cheers to each and every one of you. You’ve made a meaningful difference.
Love,
Sam
Ideal Bike in Belleville already fixed my bike. Cost $10.16!
What a deal. Thanks to Ed and Saul.
Went out with Shawn P and Cap’n Pete and got a flat about halfway through the ride. Thanks for the rescue Shawn.
But - I’m done!
Thanks to all for the love, encouragement, and sponsorship to get this done.
Still fat. Will keep rolling.
We (the Royal we) will be done shortly.
With help from my very generous community of friends I’ve reached my fundraising goal of $5,000 with 12 days to spare.
Now about that pesky 84kms left…..
Had a shortish ride on waterfront trail and up the riverside trail system. Was honked at by a monster truck on Moira and yelled at by two old guys walking the trails (toward me) who decided they didn’t want to move over.
The day can only get better from here.
Smooches to you all.
Had a great longer ride with Team Captain Peter Malone. We headed west via Loyalist trails and then across Hamilton Rd into Trenton. Carrying Place and then Rednersville Rd to home. Longer than we thought.
Thanks friends for your generous sponsorship and donations.
