Hey everyone, I am back at it and go figure, the app isn't registering my rides anymore.
So here is today's ride, 10.49 KM
Hey folks!
I'm out in Kenora enjoying some well deserved R&R after a very very busy summer.
I will be back to it on the 23rd, looking to hit that 200 km mark!!!!
I want to come here and thank everyone yet again for pushing me more and more. I'm nearly at $2000 in donations and I'm pushing to hit 200km by the end of the month!!!
I'd love to see $2,000 and 200 km!!!
Love you all
Good morning folks, it's not quite 8:00 a.m. in chilly Manitoba.
Today's ride will be late or postponed due to contractors coming to my home to resume work on an insurance claim for my house.
I will need to be home for this, and hope to do my ride later tonight.
Thank you again to everyone who is donated, to everyone who has sent me messages of encouragement, and to everyone who reads these blogs that I write.
You all mean the world to me
Good morning to all of my amazing supporters, I just wanted to drop in and say that I'm going to be making Mondays my rest day, to allow myself time to recover and ensure that I don't make my own injury worse.
I also want to thank everyone again for their support, being so close to my goal only 5 days into the challenge has kept me hopeful.
I look forward to smashing my hundred kilometer challenge.
Ride number three was a success, despite the challenging headwind!!
So I will say that the wind provided the perfect temperature needed for an afternoon ride.
Starting to notice it's getting a little less difficult to ride, though I'm still dealing with my regular chronic pain. Thank you to everyone for all of your support
So I went for another nice jaunt tonight on one of the base loops, but the app only counted one whole kilometer.
So with the power of Google maps, I mapped my route which was a tiiiiiny bit longer!
I think yesterday's route may not have been accurate either. Moving forward, I will be using a 3rd party app and posting my ride results in my blog.
Thank you all for your continued support!!!
Hello friends! My ride today is delayed as I am currently in Winnipeg attending a medical appointment.
I plan to do today's ride a little bit later on when it is cooler out.
Thank you all so much for your love and support. ❤️
So I just finished my first ride and it ended up being 6.6 km.
You don't really realize just how bad your disability is until you start trying to do things you used to do before you got hurt.
But like I said, me being in pain for a few weeks during this challenge is nothing compared to what these children go through dealing with their cancer and treatments.
Not to mention the ones that don't survive.
So I am glad that I am still able to do this challenge, Even if it does hurt me a little.
I would like to say thank you to every single person who donated, you have all given me the push that I've needed to do this.
I really hope I hit my $1000 goal, but if not I'm just happy that I managed to do something :)
I'd like to thank my friends, family, and strangers for their generosity in helping me hit 50% of my progress.
It starts tomorrow and I look forward to smashing it.
