This morning Gray started interval riding to get him prepped for the outdoor hills 🚵🏽♂️
Working hard & never giving up is his biggest strength & that’s why I’m so happy he’s agreed to join me in this ride! 💙
Mother Nature hasn’t been cooperative this year so far, so getting outside to ride has been a challenge, but we will get there & we will be ready to crush AUGUST!
Today is a monumental day in Ella’s journey! Her last day of CHEMO! Every single day since September Ella has shown strength, determination & resilience! She is the true definition of a real life superhero!
Her fight isn’t quite over yet, but there’s light at the end of this very long & dark tunnel!

Well, we had planned on getting out for a few short rides, but so far … Mother Nature hasn’t co-operated! I took Grayson for a ride last year in the wind & his poor legs were pedalling so fast but his bike was at a stand still! I promised him he wouldn’t have to ride in those conditions again!
In the meantime, we’ve done a few indoor rides & some strength training exercises!

Grayson is 10 & last year he really found his passion for riding, right along his mama!
Mason, Ella’s big brother is great friends with Grayson & when Gray found out who & what I was riding for this year, without hesitation he insisted on joining!
Last year he set a 25km ride goal & had no problem crushing that! I’m confident this summer that he will push his limits for our Ella!
We will be starting our training March 1st for the big month in August!

Cancer is the largest killer of kids in Canada, 27 children are diagnosed every week! Unfortunately, in late summer of 2024 one of my best friend’s daughter was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma. Her journey began with the removal of a very large 6lb tumour from her abdomen, along with one of her kidneys. She then had radiation, followed by an aggressive 36 week chemotherapy treatment plan. Our little lipstick loving Ella Bella Brave is far more than a statistic though … she’s kind, she’s beautiful, & she is ONLY 4!
This August I will be riding with my son Grayson (10), to raise awareness to children’s cancer; but mostly to support this great cause. The Hospital for Sick Children has been the largest pillar to Ella’s journey, right from early stages of diagnosis, straight through her treatment & recovery process.
