Well, I've never been accused of finishing things before the last minute, and these 100km were no exception. Today I needed a long (but beautiful) ride through Fish Creek Park to meet my goal, so Matt & I turned it into an afternoon date.
I had secretly hoped to log WAY more kilometres than I’d committed to this month, but there were a few hiccups… of course. At least my 20 year old bike got some improvements this year, like new gear shifters, a new seat, new lock, and new kickstand. My handlebars still need some adjusting, though maybe I just need new wrists.
Charles (15) impressively biked more days this month than not, and despite not logging many of his rides, I suspect he tripled my distance.
A big thanks to all of those who donated to conquer kids’ cancer. This month Nora has been on my mind more than usual, both because of the bike challenge and as I watch friends send their kids off (or back) to university. Thank you for showing my girl love with your sponsorship and encouragement. ❤️
