This August, Team River is taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

We are raising funds through our challenge in honour of a little boy named River, who was diagnosed with Medulloblastomas (Sonic Hedgehog Tumors) along his spinal column and in his brain, in December of 2023. River is a remarkable fighter, whose journey with cancer has brought numerous unexpected and unique challenges. In the last six months, River and his family have experienced a rollercoaster of adversities and continue to endure and persevere through unimaginable trials. Despite hardship’s, River’s spirit remains strong, continuing to spread joy to those around him – this little boy’s smile, laughter, and humour is undeniably infectious and heartwarming.

We created this team to help kids like River by supporting the SickKids Foundation, allowing them to continue their invaluable work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
