I'm Riding For
all those affected by cancer
If cancer touched your life directly or not you know the weight it leaves behind. We carry it, and somehow, we keep moving. There’s strength in that! Keep moving forward!
My Story
This year, I’m participating in the GCC fundraiser in memory of my mother.
While I didn’t experience childhood cancer firsthand, it shaped my life. My mother passed away when I was 19 and my sister was just 16.
Though we weren’t facing cancer directly, we felt the emotional and financial weight it carried. Losing her meant losing our foundation; our sense of stability.
This fundraiser is more than just a cause for me it’s also a personal milestone. In a way, it feels like a promise to myself: to keep growing, to keep healing, and to keep showing up. It’s a step forward in my sobriety journey, and a way of turning pain into purpose.
I’m doing this to honor her memory and to support other families who continue to carry the invisible weight cancer leaves behind. Because its impact reaches far beyond the diagnosis; but so can hope.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you!
