My Story

4 Aug 2024

I am riding in memory of my late mother, Mosammat Shamima Nazneen, who lost her battle with ovarian cancer. Being by her side, I witnessed the devastating physical and mental toll of this disease. The pain was unbearable, and I could only offer empty reassurances that everything would be alright. Sadly, the chemo failed, and I lost her.

Cancer has touched the lives of those close to me as well. A childhood friend lost his mother, and another lost both parents to cancer within a year. Witnessing their suffering made me realize the immense pain and helplessness cancer brings, especially for children.

Through this ride, I hope to raise funds and awareness to support SickKids Foundation. Your support can save little lives and provide hope to families battling this cruel disease. Together, we can make a difference.

Thank you for standing with me in this fight.

“I’ve met across the severe suffering and mental hardships that a cancer patient and the family went through for years. Everyday, countless individuals and families battle cancer with courage and hope. But they should not fight it alone. You can be the reason someone gets the vital care, comfort and assistance to those in need. No gift is too small, every act of kindness matters.”
