There is no doubt that I have passed my goal of $2500. I have cycled nearly to the point of exhaustion, and unless something major happens I will cycle the 500 km. My cycling has been a worry and a burden for the family and I promise you that, after five years of GCC, this will be my last year, even though I care for the kids with cancer, Thank You from the bottom of my heart. As a RN you have dealt with people with cancer but I hope you do not have to care for children with cancer. Years ago we could hardly pick up a child with leukaemia and hold them because they were is such pain. Thankfully treatments have improved and that is were your money will be going. I was feeling really down since I just received a message from Great Cycle Challenge that said while we have been biking for 22 days that 25 children had died from cancer and 102 families have been told that their child has cancer. That is so heartbreaking and there is so much research needed to find better treatments and to try and end childhood cancer.
