My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Solport to Comox Lake and back
31 Aug 2024Nice easy ride today down to the lake and back with a little trip around town 15.5 Km.
The Lake was like a Mill Pond today not a wave to be seen, you can see a swimmer in the photo who must have been training for a Triathlon, they were nearly as fast as me 😂 lol

Bean around the world to Royston and back
27 Aug 2024A wet ride today to Royston and back to Bean Around the World Coffee House this ride meant that I have now ridden 209k+ I am very proud of what I have been able to achieve, I will continue with my cycling buddies Keith and Gord until August 31st.

Three rides in one
18 Aug 2024Well 3 rides in 1 today for a total distance of 26k👍Starting at Mansfield drive we headed towards Royston then picked up the Rotary trail to take us to the Mudshark Cafe, once refreshed we headed out along Condensary road and picked up the One Shot Trail to Dove Creek.
Headed back to Mansfield then added a round up ride to break the 25k barrier our longest ride to date👍
The hot tub was needed today lol 😂

2nd Ride to Comox Lake and back to Laneway Coffee Shoo
17 Aug 2024This is becoming my favourite ride the trip through the trails is great and not to difficult and the Laneway Coffee shop is amazing great coffee, nice people and its bike and dog friendly it’s highly recommended if you haven’t been you’ve got to go👍
Completed the ride with my bike buddies Keith and Gord👍until the next time bye for now.

Comox Lake and Cumberland Trail Ride

We rode to Comox Lake then the trails in Cumberland with a final stop at Laneway Coffee shop for a 12oz Cappuccino excellent 👍

Goal completed 👍
9 Aug 2024This mornings ride to the lake and back means that I have achieved my goal of 75k. We celebrated a job well done with a cappuccino at The Laneway Coffee shop in Cumberland (highly recommend)
This is not the end of the road I intend to continue riding (as long as my body holds out) to see how many kms I can complete in August👍

Royston ride 7 August
7 Aug 2024Ride #5 today and my longest yet 16k! We started on Mansfield Dr and rode to Royston Roast Coffee house for a cappuccino then rode back and completed a quick tour of the airport loop, another great ride in beautiful weather, I have now completed 62k and all is good 👍.
Golfing tomorrow so a rest day then back on the bike Friday.

Getting ride ready
25 Jul 2024Well folks to make sure that I am ready for the ride I have been out on the bike for the first time in over 2 years.
I did 10k on Monday and another 10k today, after Mondays ride I was very stiff and sore but after another 10k ride today I feel much better, I will take on another 10k on Friday to help me get in shape👍
