I'm Riding For
In Memory of Tessa Hodgson
I came across a story last year during this Challenge of a little girl by the name of Tessa Hodgson. She was only 12 months old when I found her story but she touched my heart and reminded me why I started this Challenge. Tessa was born with a rare disease called ATRT caused her body to produce cancerous cells. At the age of 3 months old she was diagnosed with Brain Cancer and went under many surgeries to remove the cancer. But unfortunately in November of 2020 her body couldn't fight anymore and she left us to fly with the angels. So this year I'm doing my ride in memory of Baby Tessa to bring awareness to this terrible disease of Childhood Cancers and the children and families it affects.
My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
