This August, I’m taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to help fight kids’ cancer.

Cancer is something that’s deeply personal to me. In 2017, my mum, Linda, was diagnosed with stage-four terminal cancer. It changed my world in ways I’m still discovering. My mum was extraordinary—strong, kind, and endlessly inspiring to everyone who knew her. Her fight left a permanent mark on my heart.

I want to do my part to help change lives. I can’t imagine what it must be like for families whose child doesn’t get the chance at a normal life. Kids should be busy being kids—laughing, learning, dreaming—not fighting for their lives.

That’s why I’m raising funds through this challenge to support the SickKids Foundation, helping them continue their vital work developing treatments and finding cures for childhood cancer.
