In 2018, I was diagnosed with Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML). Thankfully I have been able to live with the disease and for the most part enjoy the same quality of life. This past year, my care has been transferred to Cancer Care Manitoba. The staff, nurses and doctors have all been great to deal with and very caring. They deal with numerous cases and patients but never have I felt like another number to them.

I am very grateful to have the access and care provided by them.

This year has been more of a challenge as we continue to have ups and downs with my disease and lingering questions and concerns for the future of my treatment.

For now, I continue to be grateful to have my health and to be able to be active and ride as much as possible. I'm excited for this opportunity to not only ride for myself but to also fight kids' cancer. Cancer is no joke and any bit that I can raise and help goes a long way.
