My Story

Coming off the back of the 2024 Princess Margaret Ride to Conquer Cancer, I am now looking forward to taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer this August.

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I am happy to have participated in this challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation allowing them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Although I did not reach my actual goal of at least $2500 I am happy to have been able contribute. Below is a brief summary of what the month looked like for me.

** 2024-08-01 - I set my goals to $1000 and 400km.

** 2024-08-09 - I reached my goal of 400km and increased it to 750km for the month.

** 2024-07-14 - I reached my fund raising goal of $1,000.

** 2024-08-19 - I reached my ride goal of 750km for the month.

** 2024-08-21 - I increased my ride goal to 1000km for the month.

** 2024-08-25 - I completed my 1000km ride goal and continued to ride to the end of the month.

** 2024-08-31 - My final ride and a total of $1604 was raised and a total distance of 1163.5 km.
