Just weeks after being diagnosed with cancer, my mom passed away. She raised 7 teenagers on her own and looking back, I'm not sure how she survived us. She gives me the strength to realize that we can do anything, if we put our mind to it. January 7th, 2012 feels like yesterday and I miss you like crazy mom.

My Story

August 2024 is my 9th consecutive year fundraising for KID'S CANCER and to date my sponsors have raised an amazing $18,518.32.

Wednesday August 14th was 'Kick Cancer's Butt Day' and all donations made on this day were matched up to $1,300,000.00. In total $1,939,643 donations were received so all fundraisers were matched 67.02%. My total for this one day of donations and matched donations was $1,116. That's incredible and I want to thank everyone for working together to help fight KID'S CANCER.

The fundraising doesn't stop, if you are able, please remember there is no amount too small because everything goes towards the final picture of saving a child.

Fundraising this year, brings me enormous joy as I can say that I am a Cancer Survivor. I truly know how amazing the doctors and staff work to ensure they do the best for every patient. Last year when I had breast cancer, I was absolutely terrified of the unknown. No matter how hard this was for me, it is nothing compared to the pain a parent must be going through when their young child has cancer.

My fundraising will consist of a combination of walking and riding, so that I can continue to fundraise to support Kids Cancer.
