I'm Riding For
David Peace

Experiencing the loss of my father at just 21 years old was something I never anticipated He someone I always saw as invincible and indestructible. However, I am deeply grateful that I had the opportunity to spend the last four months of his life by his, helping him care for himself, taking out fishing, and ensuring he had a good quality of life, while my mom was at work to take care of bills and the household. Being able to be there for him during those moments, including his final ones, is something I will always cherish. This experience has shown me the devastating impact of cancer and how quickly it can spread. From initial diagnosis to his passing, it was only four months—a truly heartbreaking and life-altering journey.
My Story
This August, I will participate in the Great Cycle Challenge to combat childhood cancer.
The reason is simple: over 1,700 are diagnosed with cancer annually, making it the leading cause of disease-related death children in Canada. Children should be enjoying life, not fighting for it.
Through this challenge, I am raising funds to support the SickKids Foundation, enabling them to continue their vital work in developing treatments and discovering a cure for childhood cancer.
I kindly ask for your support through a donation to help provide these children with the brighter futures they deserve.
Your contribution will make a difference in young lives.
Thank you.
