My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

I've lost so many friends and a special young lady to cancer and have many more who have luckily fought and won the battle. It doesn't matter your age, cancer sucks. Right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada. I'm doing this ride in honour of a very special young lady; the daughter of a friend of mine who lived with me for 8 months and was a friend for longer. Sadly her life was cut short due to a cancer diagnosis that took her far to young and too quickly. This should not happen.

The one thing I'm able to do is ride my bike and I have therefore committed to ride 300km this August to help support Sick Kids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
