Hello,

My name is Michael Riley, and I am honored to be participating in The Great Cycle Challenge for the fifth year, now as a Champion Rider!

One hundred percent of donations go directly to SickKids Hospital.

I began this journey in 2021. As a new father to my beautiful daughter Emma and in 2023 my beautiful son Ethan, my priorities changed quickly. I realized how fortunate I was to have a healthy child, which, sadly, is not the case for everyone. Since becoming a father, I've felt a strong drive to help others through events like the GCC.

Here's a look at my progress over the years:

- 2021: Raised $7,300 and rode 640 km. - Grand Ride - Pickering to Burlington!

- 2022: Raised $16,356 and rode 1,018 km. - Grand Ride - Markham to Niagara Falls!

- 2023: Raised $23,067 and rode 1,255 km. - Grand Ride - Markham to Montreal!

- 2024: Raised $31,837 and rode 1,518km. - Grand Ride - The Circumference of Lake Ontario! Markham - Markham.

For 2025 I'm planning a trip to Iceland. I will be cycling as far as the weather allows.

I'm incredibly grateful to be part of this amazing event and look forward to many more years of participation.
