My wife recently celebrated 5 years of being cancer-free! Recently, though, we've had a number of close friends, colleagues and family members go through their own cancer journeys. It seems every year someone is added to this list! This is my effort to help kids who have to go through that challenge.

My Story

I started participating in this challenge in 2018. And again this August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer! Because kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

Over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Whenever someone asks me about this challenge - invariably they have had a family member, or colleague, or friend that had battled cancer. I can tick all of those boxes, and I can't imagine what a child must endure. I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
