For My Mother, My Compass in the Storm Today, I ride for my mother—a woman who has faced cancer with a kind of strength that takes your breath away. This disease has brought pain, fear, and unknowns that change with every passing day. There are moments when hope feels fragile, when tomorrow feels distant. But still, she wakes up and faces the fight, again and again. Though she was most present in the early chapters of my life, her influence never left. She taught me how to be self-reliant, how to care for myself when life gave no guidebook, and how to persevere even when alone. Her lessons echo in every part of who I am. This ride is for her—for every drop of courage she spills into a day that has no promises. I carry her love, her grit, her quiet fire with me in every pedal stroke.
