My Story

This year, I have signed up for the Great Cycle Challenge 🚴

My goal is to pedal 251 km throughout the month and raise $500.

All funds raised will support @sickkidsvs Foundation to provide care, develop treatments, and find a cure for childhood cancers to save little lives.

Why am I doing this? Because this year, I have had the amazing opportunity to experience the journey of motherhood alongside my friend and her child.

It's an incredible feeling to witness my friend's entire journey of motherhood.

Who would've thought I could experience this? I don't have kids, but I have the opportunity to experience this. The good and the bad - all of it is beautiful and miraculous.

Living without any suffering is a miracle. I have learned that cancer is the largest killer of children from disease in Canada - over 1,700 children are diagnosed every year, and 4 children die every week. That's crazy.

This challenge is for a good cause for anyone. I ride for my family members who passed away with cancer, my friend, and anyone suffering from cancer. Life is short - ride to remind myself to live every moment.

So, I'm riding to give cancer a good old-fashioned butt-kicking and to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
