For the last couple of years, I have participated in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer with some colleagues. Right now, over 1,700 kids are being diagnosed with cancer every year in Canada.

This year’s challenge means so much more.

On Sunday, August 4th, a big supporter and loving teammate went out on his ride to raise money for this great cause and didn’t return home - he passed away while on his ride, doing what he felt was making a difference in the world.

This cause was so important to him, that it has become our Stonhard team’s privilege to continue the fight in his honour. As a team we will continue with our own challenges and complete Pierre’s challenge as well.

So, this year I am raising funds to help these kids in honor of Pierre, and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Perseverance is like pocket change, because every little bit in the Penny jar counts.
