This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

My bike

I have to say my all time favourite activity is bike riding. My first husband is a cyclist and he gave me the bug …2 great things he did for me being the father of my son and introducing me to cycling. I used to be a bike courier in Vancouver in the 90’s and I remember it being such a fun job riding around all day yes tiring but a ton of fun. This is my 7th year doing this challenge and I’m so excited to continue with it. I took last year off and am really happy to get back at it and ride . Cancer has been something that has affected people in my life and l can’t think of anything better than raising money for children with cancer by riding my bike .
