My Story

This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge for the second time to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

  • The Great Cycle Challenge starts today! - Le Grand défi de cyclisme commence aujourd'hui

    Today is August 1st, the beginning of the main leg of this year’s Great Cycle Challenge.

    This means that, for the next 31 days, I will be tracking my bicycle rides, kilometer by kilometer, in order to reach my riding goal.

    So far, thanks to your generosity and the contribution of many others, I have managed to raise $756 for the SickKids Foundation in their work to develop treatments and find a cure for all childhood cancers.

    I wanted to express my gratitude for your support in this fundraising effort. This challenge truly wouldn’t be possible without you.

    I will update you on my final fundraising and riding statistics once the challenge ends and the numbers are published. This will most likely take place in early September.

    In the meantime, I will work at my 500 km goal in hopes of surpassing last year’s total of 1,115 km.

    Aujourd’hui, c’est le 1er août, le début de l’étape principale du Great Cycle Challenge de cette année.

    Cela signifie que pendant les 31 prochains jours, je mesurerai mes déplacements à vélo, kilomètre par kilomètre, afin d'atteindre mon objectif de distance.

    Jusqu'à présent, grâce à votre générosité et à la contribution de nombreuses autres personnes, j'ai réussi à récolter 756 $ pour la Fondation SickKids dans son travail visant à développer des traitements et à trouver un remède à tous les cancers infantiles.

    Pour lancer mon entraînement pour le Grand Défi Vélo en août, j'ai fait une randonnée en vélo de 70 km autour de l'Île d'Orléans.

    Cette magnifique balade m'a emmené de village en village, avec des vues magnifiques sur le fleuve Saint-Laurent ainsi que sur de superbes champs de campagne.

    To kick off my training for the Great Cycle Challenge in August, I went on a 70km ride around l'Île d'Orleans.

    This wonderful ride took me from village to village, with wonderful views of the St. Lawrence River as well as stunning countryside fields.
