I'm Riding For
Mitch
Mitch was an inspiring hockey player who loved the game just as much as the team he played with. On February 3rd he had the best game of his life, scoring a hat trick and was the MVP of the game. Soon after he fell ill and by March 18th was transported to the children's hospital. At that time he was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, and by the following week it had reached stage 4 because it had moved into his lymph system. He was in surgery that week but his body went into shock and they could no longer operate. He spent the next 3 weeks in PICU and passed at the very young age of 9 on April 18, 2018.
My Story
This August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.
Thank you.
