Memory of Emma Larade

In 2005 my niece Emma was diagnosed with a brain tumor-she was only 8 years old! She underwent emergency surgery which removed the tumor completely. Soon to follow, a year long bout of chemo and radiation. It was hard to watch her tiny body go through that but she was a tough kid and always had a smile. Emma fought a courageous battle but unfortunately on July 18, 2009 my dear sweet red-headed niece passed away at the age of 12. She is what motivated me to get on a bike and raise funds for children everywhere fighting this horrible disease. Children should be living life, not fighting for their lives.
