My Story
This August marks my third year in a row participating in the Great Cycle Challenge, a nationwide fundraising event organized by the SickKids Foundation. Over the years, I’ve ridden a total of 303 km and, with your generous support, raised $1,069 to help fight childhood cancer.
Since its start in 2016, the Great Cycle Challenge has grown into one of Canada’s largest cycling events. Riders of all ages and abilities from every province set personal cycling goals and commit to pedaling throughout August —all to help kids battling cancer.
Together, our community from all 13 provinces and territories has cycled over 27 million kilometers and raised nearly $55 million to fund vital research aimed at developing treatments and ultimately finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Why does this matter? Because cancer remains the leading disease killer of children in Canada, with more than 1,700 young lives diagnosed each year.
I’m riding to help give these kids the brighter futures they deserve. I truly believe each of us can make a difference in the fight against cancer and help save little lives.
Please consider sponsoring me by donating toward my goal of $500. Every contribution counts!
