My Story

18 Jul 2023

This August, I will participate in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer.

Why? Because right now, over 1,400 children are diagnosed with cancer yearly, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

I am raising funds through my challenge to help support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by donating to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Thank you.

My Challenge

    31 Aug 2024

Today was a challenge - too cool. Then when it warmed I got stuck under a tent at the Aerospace Museum in the rain. I was missing a few K so added that after dinner.

BONUS - the Gatineau Balloons came our way - raced home and got my Camera.

I really didn't think I would be able to ride after July, but everything is working out. Cycling is easy on the legs and really gets the heart going, I have to watch that.

“Thank you. This donation even earned me a call from GCCC thanking me and asking if they could do anything. Arms a bit sore today (from weed eater?), so plans for a longer ride on hold.”

“Thanks, I only signed up to ride because it was part of the signup donation. Minimum was 75km, I probably could have lowered it but I didn't and now happy I didn't. it was all easy days, except the hill up from the airbase.”

“Thank you Steph, I was really surprised riding was so easy, especially the hills. I just got tired, I guess the meds have really helped. Holding Emery up for an hour was harder, arms ached the next day. I hope the 3 of you are well - oh the dog too. Steve”
